Basically, in affiliate marketing, you are promoting other companies’ products and services through your blog, and in return of that, you will get some commission.

9 Tips to Monetize Blog with Affiliate Marketing

Now, Let’s get straight into the tips that I personally used to generate a good amount of affiliate sales.

1. Know Your Target Audience

The first and very most important step is to find out your target audience. You need to find out what query they are searching for and what they exactly want on your blog?

Here are the 3 things you need to keep in your mind while finding out the targeted audience: –

  1. What is motivating them and what pain points are they facing?
  2. Try to pick up the common characteristics and create your audience profile.
  3. For which product or service, they are looking for.

Why is it so important to know your audience?

Affiliate marketing is only about taking the right audience in front of the right offer, in the right way. So, understanding your audience’s interest is very very important.

Even doing affiliate marketing with a blog is the same. Just understand your audience’s interests and start promoting the products and services in which they are interested.

2. Choose the Right Keywords with Right Intent

Choosing the right intent keywords is also an important point in affiliate marketing. Without a keen understanding of the intent behind visitors’ searches, even the most well-written article won’t bring sales to you.

There are 4 types of Search Intent.

  • Informational – searches performed to get some information with respect to a particular topic.
  • Navigational – searches performed to locate or to navigate a step by step guide.
  • Commercial – Queries tend to include the words best, review, or compare.
  • Transactional – searches performed to buy something

Now, if you want to get lots of affiliate sales, you need to follow the buyers’ journey according to the search intent.

First, you have to give information about the product with an informative article.

Second, you need to navigate them to the product site and then you have to convince them about the product with a commercial article like a product review, product comparison, or list articles.

And finally, provide them some deals or coupons through your transactional-based article so that they can purchase from your affiliate link.

This is called an amazing buyers’ journey that I followed always to get affiliate sales.

3. Create High-Value Content

Content is something that you should never compromise with. Your first priority is to provide quality content that can satisfy user search queries. Then go for other factors and off-page SEO.

Because If your content is not good then there is no benefit of ranking on top of Google. Readers won’t spend time on your blog, and ultimately your ranking will go down. Then no backlinks, no social signals, and other strategies can get that back that on top apart from quality content.

So always focus on content first, and then go for other things. High-quality content will bring more engagement on your blog which leads to higher conversion. Higher conversion means high sales and more revenue.

It doesn’t matter how many blogs post you have published on your blog. The thing that matters is High-value content that has the power to convert your blog readers into buyers.

Simply understand the working of blogs, and by following buyers’ journey, A beginner ca make hell out of money from a newly launched blog.

Money pages are the pages or posts that will bring you sales out of them. In simple words, a blog post or blog page is designed in a way to generate sales from your blog visitors.

There are various types of money pages. You can use them to get good sales. Below I am sharing some main examples of money pages that you can use in your blog.

  • Review Articles: – Review articles are the best ways to get some good sales from your article. We all know that everyone purchases some products or services after reading the reviews of that product or service.

Review articles work like a charm here. If you provide genuine and honest reviews to your blog reader then, for sure, you will generate some sales out of these review articles.

  • Comparison articles: – you can use comparison articles for your readers. This will help them to find out the best product out of two or depends on how many products you have compared in a single article. For example – Siteground Vs BlueHost Which one is best and why.

This is the mistake I have done in my initial days of affiliate marketing. If I talked about myself, I am recommending every hosting whenever there is an offer going on.

But later I realize that no one is buying form my affiliate link because I am giving too many choices to them and they are confused, which one they have to buy.

Then I decided to promote only a few products that I use, and that are useful for my audience. And trust me this is working really great.

I am glad you liked the content.

Brother, I don’t think a2 is doing something. Yes, I have seen many people’s affiliate account got banned but they are promoting a2 in a wrong way that’s why their account got banned.

but if you are doing everything in the right way then there is no issue. I am still generating money from A2 and getting all my payments on time.

  2. Quite a good points highlighted on affiliate marketing online. It can be a good source of revenue provided we stick to our niche, I presume.
